Hi! I’m Mary Beth.
I believe that good food does not have to be bad for you and that healthy food doesn’t have to be bland.
I feel like I have struggled with weight my entire life.
I have decided that I no longer want to be a statistic.
I don’t want to be grouped in to the “Obese” category any longer. It is time to make a change that I can stick to.
I love cooking and learning how to make flavorful things that I can eat again and again without feeling bored.
While I can cook, all that I know I either learned by myself or from my mom. I want to create a space where I can not only keep track of the things that I am eating on my weight loss journey, but also cooking tips and tricks for those just starting out.
Cooking is not hard. If you can read you can cook, but there are some things that make it easier and less stressful.
Cooking also does not have to be expensive. My favorite grocery store is Aldi and I try to keep all of the ingredients that I use common enough to be found either in your pantry, at Aldi or Walmart. I don’t believe that money should ever have to hold someone back from good health.
I want to create a space where everyone can come to learn how to not only eat healthier, but also learn how to cook. I believe that it is much easier to stay on track (and to spend less money) when you know a some basic things in the kitchen.
